Pauls
Valley Police Department
Communications Division
The dispatcher is the first person you will talk to
when you call the Police Department. Dispatchers are trained to handle a
variety of situations. They can direct your call to the appropriate
person, or department. They can send help such as the Police, Fire and
EMS.
Our dispatchers are very skilled and not only dispatch for the Pauls
Valley Police department, they also dispatch for: Pauls Valley Fire
Department, Elmore City Police Department, Elmore City Fire Department,
Katie Fire Department and Pernell Fire Department. Not to mention they
answer the telephones for each of the agencies as well as answer the
phone for all 9-1-1 Emergency calls for the
Pauls Valley and surrounding area. Being a dispatcher is very busy and
stressful at times, but dispatchers are the lifeline for Police Officers
and for you when you need help.
Things to remember when calling for assistance..
9-1-1 is for life
threatening emergencies ONLY.
Always speak slow and clear.
Answer all the questions asked to the best of your ability.
Never hang up until the dispatcher tells you to do so.
Be polite and courteous.
